Scott’s work focuses on applying economic analysis and econometric techniques to competition policy cases. He has worked in merger cases and antitrust investigations before the European Commission, the UK Competition and Markets Authority and various other competition authorities, and his experience covers a range of industries including fast-moving consumer goods, financial products, mobile telecommunications, and consumer retailers.

In the recent past, Scott contributed to the economic advice and competitive assessments in relation to the merger proceedings of Liberty Global/Telefónica UK, Air Canada/Air Transat, E.On/Innogy, T-Mobile NL/Tele2 NL, Coca-Cola/AdeS, NKT/ABB, Siemens/Gamesa, Ball/Rexam, Greene King/Spirit Pub Company and DEMB/Mondelez.

He received his M.A. in Economics from the University of Toronto and his B.A. (Honours) in Economics and Mathematics from Queen’s University. During his studies, he specialized in econometrics and industrial organization.
