Mats Bergman

Professor Mats Bergman is an academic affiliate with Compass Lexecon, based in Stockholm.

Professor Bergman is currently Professor of Economics and Head of the School of Social Sciences at Södertörn University, Stockholm. He is also an Economic Expert for the Swedish Patent and Market Court. You can view Professor Bergman's academic publications here.

Previously, Professor Bergman was Chief Economist of the Swedish Competition Authority (1997-2001, 2004-2007), member of the Board of Directors of the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (2007-2017), member of the Board for Pharmaceutical Benefits (2009-2010), as well as Professor of Economics at Uppsala University. Has worked as an in-house economist for law firms BAHR (Oslo) and Gernandt & Danielsson (Stockholm).

He has worked extensively in the following industries: Telecom, pharmacies and pharmaceuticals, electricity, retailing, banking and payment systems, health care and elderly care, building and construction, the pulp and paper industry.
