Manuel Zanoni is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Berlin.

Manuel has worked on several competition cases in front of competition authorities and in litigation proceedings. His case experience includes a merger in the digital area (Google-Fitbit), as well as damage estimations following cartel cases in more traditional sectors such as steel and trucks.

Before joining Compass Lexecon, Manuel was an economic assistant at an economic consulting firm in Basel that focuses on policy evaluation. He also worked as a secondary school teacher for many years.

Manuel obtained his M.A. in Economics with a minor in Economic Policy from the University of Zurich. He is particularly interested in the field of digital platforms and he recently completed a course in recent developments of merger control in digital markets at the European University Institute.
