Juho Anttila is a Senior Economist with Compass Lexecon, based in Helsinki.
Juho has economic consulting experience in competition cases regarding merger clearance, Article 101 and 102 investigations, quantification of damages, and in intellectual property matters. His work has covered several industries, including technology, manufacturing, retail, telecoms and financial services.
Juho’s recent work has focussed on intellectual property valuation, particularly in relation to determining the fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory terms and conditions for standard-essential patents. As part of this, he has contributed to developing novel methodologies for valuing intellectual property. In addition, Juho has experience from Article 101 and 102 investigations, including the FCCA v Onninen before the Finnish Market Court, as well as quantification of damages in follow-on litigations.
In merger cases, Juho has been involved in defining the relevant markets, analysing the parties’ bidding data to assess the closeness of competition, and carrying out a competitive assessment at local, national or global level. His work has been presented before several competition authorities, including the European Commission, the CMA, and the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority.
Juho is fluent in English and Finnish, and he holds a MSc and BSc in Economics from University of Helsinki.
