Jin Kiat Tan is a Senior Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Singapore.
Jin’s work focuses on the application of economic analysis and econometric techniques to competition policy cases, including merger and antitrust cases, and damages proceedings. His experience covers a range of industries including manufacturing, automotive, technology and agrochemicals, among others.
Jin has been involved in several (in-depth) merger investigations. Recently, he advised on Vodafone/Three UK JV (UK CMA), Google/Photomath (EC), Aon/Willis Towers Watson (multi-jurisdictional), Fiat Chrysler/Peugeot (EC) and Bayer/Monsanto (EC). He provided support in the context of Article 102 TFEU investigations into pricing practices, and he assisted the economic expert in context of Epic Games’ litigation against Google in Australia. He is also part of the team that estimates damages for a heavy truck manufacturer in the context of litigation proceedings.
Jin holds a M.Sc. in Economic Policy and B.Sc. in Economics from University College London.
