Claire Kraemer is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in London.
Claire has experience in economic and regulatory consulting, covering merger control and antitrust investigations across a range of industries including telecommunications, transport, retail, and manufacturing. Her work combines economic reasoning with econometric analysis to support the assessment of competition issues and market dynamics.
Since joining Compass Lexecon in 2022, she has worked on several high-profile merger control cases before the European Commission and national competition authorities. She has advised merging parties on transactions such as MásMóvil/Orange, JD Sports/Courir, and Orange/VOO & Brutélé, as well as deals in the airlines and manufacturing sectors.
Claire has experience in antitrust matters across a range of sectors, including telecommunications, energy and utilities, industrial equipment, and food & beverages. She has worked on investigations and litigation involving alleged anti-competitive practices, including abuse of dominance in broadband and telephony markets, cartel-related issues in tyre manufacturing, and alleged no-poach agreements.
Prior to joining Compass Lexecon, she worked as a data engineer at the Research Institute for Development.
Claire holds an M.Sc. in Economics from the Toulouse School of Economics. She is fluent in French and English, with basic knowledge of Japanese.
