Alexandre Nouvel

Alexandre Nouvel is a Senior Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Paris.

His work focuses on applying economic analysis and econometric techniques to competition policy cases. Since joining in 2018, Alexandre has been involved in several antitrust, merger and damage assessment cases, in France and elsewhere.

Alexandre has advised clients on a variety of merger cases before European and national competition authorities, including high-profile French, European and global mergers in recent years, including Thermo Fisher Scientific / PPD, Fraikin / Via Location and various merger cases implying Orange.

Alexandre has also worked on several cases in the telecommunications sector in France, including damage litigation cases in the broadband, fixed and mobile telephony markets.

Alexandre has expertise in a variety of other sectors, including retail, biotechnologies, consumer goods, finance, media and transportation.

Prior experience includes working as an analyst in a competition consulting firm in France. He also worked as an Economist directly within a law firm specialized in damages litigation cases for more than a year. Alexandre holds an M.Sc. in Economics from the Toulouse School of Economics where he specialized in industrial organization and worked as a teaching assistant in econometrics.
