Robert “Bo” Bourke is a Senior Vice President with Compass Lexecon based in Washington, DC. He has considerable experience consulting in all areas of competition economics, including merger clearance process and antitrust litigation. Mr. Bourke specializes in managing large, complex, and often multi-jurisdictional antitrust matters such as merger reviews by the DOJ, FTC, and/or other antirust agencies, antitrust litigations resulting from these investigations, as well as major class action and other private litigations. Mr. Bourke has assisted clients with all aspects of the merger review process, including HSR filings, initial and ongoing strategy discussions, Second Request compliance, and substantive engagement with the regulators on issues such as evaluating the competitive effects of the merger. He has experience advising on issues related to horizontal and vertical mergers, monopolization, market definition, class certification, market foreclosure, and exclusive dealing.

Mr. Bourke has counseled merging parties from a variety of industries such as health insurance, healthcare provision, retail, publishing, talent representation, telecommunications platforms, payment systems, and movie theatres. He has also worked on litigation issues in a variety of industries such as automobiles, credit cards, airlines, health insurance, healthcare data, and food distribution.

Prior to joining Compass Lexecon, Mr. Bourke was a Senior Consultant at Navigant Economics (formerly Chicago Partners).

Mr. Bourke received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and received his B.A. from the University of Michigan.
