Rameet Sangha is a Senior Vice President at Compass Lexecon, based in London.

Rameet is a professional competition economist with over 20 years of experience advising clients on a range of competition matters: mergers, market investigations, abuse of dominance, vertical agreements, competition litigation, and damages assessment.

Rameet has experience across a range of industries, with particular expertise in life sciences and financial services.

Who’s Who Legal reports that Rameet “gives intelligent, reliable and pragmatic advice” and is commended for her “client-friendly approach”. Rameet is also included in W@Competition’s 2019 list of “40 in their 40s” notable competition professionals in the economics and academia category.

Rameet’s recent cases (including prior to joining Compass Lexecon) include advising:

  • Bauer Media on several UK radio acquisitions;
  • A party to a UK Competition and Markets Authority investigation into pharmaceutical pricing;
  • Ping, a supplier of custom-fitted golf clubs, on its appeal to the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal of a Competition and Markets Authority decision finding that its retailer internet policy breached competition law; and
  • A major broker during the UK Financial Conduct Authority’s market study into wholesale insurance broking.

Rameet holds an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics, an MA in Economics from the University of Cambridge, a Postgraduate Diploma in EU Competition Law from King’s College London and has completed the London Business School Corporate Finance Evening Programme. She is a co-author of the chapter on “substantial lessening of competition” in UK Merger Control: Law and Practice, 3rd edition, Sweet & Maxwell.

Before joining Compass Lexecon in January 2020, Rameet held senior positions at leading economics consultancies.
