Enrico Alemani is a Data Scientist at Compass Lexecon, based in London.

Enrico’s focus is on the application of advanced analytics tools to competition cases, including the use and development of big data analytics and machine learning methods. He is particularly interested in machine learning, neural computing and deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and econometrics for causal inference.

Prior to joining Compass Lexecon, Enrico worked both as an economic adviser and as a data scientist for the UK Competition and Markets Authority. He also worked in the Competition Division of the OECD and in the Chief Economist’s Team of DG Competition at the European Commission.

Enrico has experience across a range of matters including merger control, market investigations, antitrust and enforcement cases. He has advised clients from various industries including energy, financial services, media, online platforms, insurance, and consumer goods.

Enrico holds an MSc in Data Science from City University of London, and an MSc and BSc in Economic and Social Sciences from Bocconi University.
