Sophie Yang is a Vice President at Compass Lexecon based in Boston. Dr. Yang specializes in applying microeconomic theory and econometric methods to complex litigation and health economics research settings. Over the course of numerous litigation matters, Dr. Yang has supported testifying experts on alleged monopolization and exclusionary conduct, Anti-Kickback Statute and False Claims Act violations, breach of contract, and intellectual property issues. Her practice spans many industries including health care, pharmaceuticals, high technology, and consumer products. Her non-litigation casework has included providing strategic guidance to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies regarding the pricing and market access of their products. Dr. Yang also served as a consulting expert for a consortium of investors on economic forecasting. She is Adjunct Faculty at Harvard University and has taught undergraduate courses on econometrics, health economics, industrial organization, and regulatory economics.
