Matt Schmitt is an Executive Vice President with Compass Lexecon based in Washington, DC. Prior to joining Compass Lexecon, he served as an Assistant Professor at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, where he taught business strategy and data analytics. He received his PhD in Managerial Economics & Strategy from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in 2016.
Dr. Schmitt has experience in applying economic modeling to merger review and litigation matters in a variety of industries, including healthcare, telecommunications, and consumer products. His research has appeared in a variety of academic journals, including the American Economic Review, the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, the Journal of Health Economics, and the Antitrust Law Journal.
