Bret Dickey is an Executive Vice President at Compass Lexecon and is based in Oakland. His areas of expertise include industrial organization, public finance, econometrics and quantitative methods, and applied microeconomics. He has over 20 years of experience applying economic analysis to areas including antitrust, intellectual property, class certification, and damages. An important focus of his work has been the health care and life sciences industries, particularly pharmaceuticals, but also vaccines, medical equipment, long-term care, Medicare, and Medicaid. His experience also spans a broad range of other industries including air transportation, financial services, high technology, insurance, office supplies, real estate, sports, and ticketing services. Dr. Dickey has testified in federal and state courts and before the U.S. House of Representatives.

Dr. Dickey received an MA and a PhD in Economics from Stanford University and a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Compass Lexecon, he held positions at LECG, the SPHERE Institute, and the Council of Economic Advisers.
