Ron Laschever is a Senior Vice President with Compass Lexecon based in Chicago. His areas of expertise include applied microeconomics, industrial organization, labor economics, and econometric analysis. He has extensive experience supporting clients in M&A regulatory review, calculation of commercial damages, and in the application of econometric and statistical models to large data sets. His experience covers a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, large retailers, advertising, mortgage-backed securities and pharmaceuticals. He also has experience providing trial support.
Prior to joining Compass Lexecon, he was an Assistant Professor of Economics and Labor/Employment Relations at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an Assistant Professor of Consumer Science and Economics at Purdue University. He has published in academic journals such as American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, and Review of Finance. He received a Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from Northwestern University.
