Robin Stitzing is a Senior Economist with Compass Lexecon, based in Helsinki. Robin’s work focuses on the application of economic analysis and econometric techniques to competition policy, intellectual property rights, and pricing cases. He also assisted in providing economic advice to parties in merger proceedings of Loomis/Automatia, Sanoma/Alma Media and Kesko/Heinon Tukku before the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority. Recently, he has focused on valuation of technologies and intellectual property rights.

Before joining Compass Lexecon, Robin held economist positions in the Patent Business of Nokia Corporation, most recently as Head of Economic Research. At Nokia, he was responsible for IPR valuation and pricing, and Nokia’s economic policy and research activities on IPR.

Robin has a Ph.D. in Economics from Aalto University, specializing in industrial organization and econometrics, and he attended Yale University as a visiting graduate student. His dissertation has focused on estimating the market impact of automotive environmental tax reform, and he has also done research on IPR economics and labor economics.
