Nicolas Hary is a Senior Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Paris.

Nicolas has more than six years of experience in the energy sector. His knowledge focuses particularly on power markets analysis and modelling and market design assessment. He has worked on several modelling projects in Europe, both optimising the short-term dispatch of power markets and determining the long-term investment decisions up to 2050 involving deep decarbonisation. Nicolas was also involved in several arbitration projects in the power sector, in which he assessed profit losses resulting from power plants unavailability.

Prior to joining Compass Lexecon in 2018, Nicolas worked at Microeconomix, a French-based economic consulting firm, within the energy practice, where he also participated in various expert studies and quantification works on market design and modelling of electricity.

Nicolas holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Mines Paristech and a M.Sc. in Economics as well as a M.Sc. in Energy and Power Systems from École supérieure d’électricité (Supélec).
