Michael S. Kwak is an Executive Vice President with Compass Lexecon based in New York. Mr. Kwak specializes in the development and implementation of econometric analyses, damages quantification, and valuation models. He has led engagement teams in the preparation of economic and statistical analyses for numerous Fortune 500 corporate clients in a variety of matters, including fixed income and derivatives valuations, shareholder class actions, ERISA matters, EEOC discrimination, wrongful termination/wrongful death lost wage analysis, labor recertification class action lawsuits, and other statistical and econometric matters.
Prior to his time at Compass Lexecon, Mr. Kwak worked as a financial advisor at Bear Stearns where he managed the daily trading activity of the firm’s Israeli institutional clients and specialized in restricted stock transactions and 10b5-1 plans for high net worth individuals. A Series 7 licensed registered representative from 1996 through 2007; Mr. Kwak has worked with, corporations, high net worth individuals, and closely-held business owners in all aspects of their investment planning and implementation. Mr. Kwak has direct experience with a diverse mix of asset classes, including: common stocks, mutual funds, annuities, unit investment trusts, government and corporate bonds, and equity and interest rate derivatives.
Mr. Kwak holds a BA in Economics from Columbia University where he graduated summa cum laude, phi beta kappa. Mr. Kwak received his Masters in Economics from The Graduate School of Arts and Science at New York University.
