Mark Sheiness is a Vice President at the New York office of Compass Lexecon. His work primarily involves valuation of closely held businesses and damages assessments. He has over seven years of experience providing economic and financial analysis and assessments of damages in the context of international arbitration under various venues (ICSID, ICC, ICDR, and others).

Mr. Sheiness has been involved in more than 16 international arbitration proceedings, as well as several consulting and valuation projects. These matters involved economic, financial and regulatory analysis, the development of complex and customized valuation models, the drafting of expert testimony, the preparation of expert witnesses for hearings, and direct support to counsel and client throughout arbitration proceedings. Mr. Sheiness has worked in projects related to investments in diverse industries including oil and gas exploration and production, oil and gas field services, precious metals and mining, food and beverage, telecommunications, air transport, buildings materials and others, with issues spanning geographies from the Middle East, Eastern Europe, South and North America.

Mr. Sheiness holds a B.A. in Economics and French from New York University. Prior to joining Compass Lexecon, he worked as an Associate at LECG.
