Andrew Swan is a Vice President with Compass Lexecon based in London. He has more than 10 years’ experience as a professional economist specializing in competition policy.
Before joining Compass Lexecon, Andrew was a Vice President at AlixPartners in London. Prior to that he was a Senior Associate at an economic consultancy in their Johannesburg office for 6 years and an economist in the Policy & Research division at the South African Competition Commission. He has provided advice to clients on a wide range of issues before authorities in the UK, Europe and Southern Africa.
Andrew has experience in horizontal and non-horizontal mergers, abuses of dominance, cartel investigations, market inquiries, regulatory proceedings and commercial litigation. His sector experience includes advertising, agriculture, construction, transport/aviation, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, manufacturing, fast moving consumer goods, telecommunications, tech, media, mining, petrochemicals, chemicals, financial services and industrial engineering.
Andrew holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Business Science degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Cape Town.
