Alejandro Abisambra is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Brussels.
Alejandro has experience in the application of economic analysis and econometric techniques to competition matters (merger control, agreements, abuse of dominance), damages estimation, and quantitative analysis for class actions and intellectual property matters. He has worked on cases before administrative and regulatory authorities, and courts, both in Europe and in the United States.
Alejandro has worked for clients across a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, technology, consumer goods, and the financial sector.
Prior to joining Compass Lexecon, he worked as a legal and public policy advisor to the Colombian government, specifically in pharmaceutical regulation and policy, as well as in the coordination of health topics and response for the negotiation and implementation of the 2016 Peace Accords.
Alejandro holds an MPA (focused on Economics and Public Policy) from Princeton University and is a licensed lawyer in Colombia. He is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
