John Bates Clark Medal Winner and World-Renowned Stanford Professor Matthew Gentzkow Joins Compass Lexecon

Compass Lexecon is pleased to announce that Professor Matthew Gentzkow has joined the firm as a Senior Consultant. Professor Gentzkow is one of the world’s leading economists specializing in industrial organization and applied microeconomics, which was recognized when he received the 2014 John Bates Clark Medal, given by the American Economic Association (AEA) to the economist under the age of 40 who has made the most significant contribution to economic thought and knowledge. His research focuses on the media and technology sectors, as well as retail and healthcare industries. Professor Gentzkow has presented to U.S. regulatory agencies, including the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Federal Communications Commission. He is a senior fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research and serves as an associate editor of The RAND Journal of Economics. He is a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and a member of its Industrial Organization Program steering committee.
