Ramaiah’s areas of expertise include applied microeconomics, applied econometrics and industrial organization. He has extensive experience in analyzing economic issues in a variety of litigation matters, including antitrust, mergers and acquisitions, asbestos liabilities, and damage analysis. He has performed econometric studies in a variety of industries, including medical devices, hospital beds, office supplies, tobacco, telecommunications, utilities, airlines, and various other consumer products. Prior to joining Lexecon in 1996, Ramaiah taught at the Rochester Institute of Technology and Rhode Island College. During 1999-2004, he also served as a visiting professor at the U.S. Business School in Prague, Czech Republic, where he taught Decision Science/Business Statistics in the MBA program. Ramaiah has published scholarly articles and made extensive presentations at professional meetings. He has a PhD in economics from Northern Illinois University.
