James Tam has extensive experience leading financial, statistical, and economic studies involving large and disparate data sources. His litigation consulting experience includes the banking, retail, entertainment, web, high-tech, telecommunication, and pharmaceutical industries. Prior to joining Compass Lexecon, he was with Charles River Associates for nearly a decade in the finance practice, where he also managed recruiting efforts, and with Kaiser Permanente as a Strategic Consultant.

He is currently completing an M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles at the Anderson School of Management, and received a B.A. in Business Economics with a minor in Accounting, and concentration in computing from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Mr. Tam is active in his community, is an avid sports fan, and is a member of both the UCLA Chancellor's Associates and the Anderson Dean's Society.
