Andrés Ferraris is an Economist in the Buenos Aires office of Compass Lexecon. Before joining Compass Lexecon, he worked as a Senior Analyst in the International Arbitration practice group at LECG. Mr. Ferraris specializes in the design and implementation of complex and customized valuation models mostly related to assets in developing economies.
During his five years of consulting experience he has participated in more than 20 arbitration procedures under ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC rules and others, as well as in several financial valuations and regulatory consultancy projects. The involvement in these projects included the collaboration in expert reports and client presentations, the participation in the designing of complex valuation and econometric models, and the management of teams in charge of diverse quantum and strategic issues. He has also provided direct support to counsel and client; as well as support to experts in hearing procedures.
The projects involved companies related to various industries (oil & gas; electricity generation, transmission and distribution; gas transmission and distribution; water and sewerage; real estate; telecommunications; agrochemical and infrastructure sectors; banking, lease and lending institutions; insurance companies; cement production; testing laboratories) in diverse locations (the United States, Canada, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Brazil, Peru, Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, South Africa and Senegal).
Mr. Ferraris obtained his degree in Economics from Universidad de San Andrés and is completing his Master's in Economics’ thesis at the same university. He has also been a research assistant and a teaching assistant professor of finance at an undergraduate course in Universidad de San Andrés, and professor of economics at a post-graduate program directed to engineers from Universidad de Buenos Aires.
