John Haut is a Vice President of Compass Lexecon. Mr. Haut holds both a law degree and a Master of Business Administration. He has more than eighteen years of experience consulting in complex business litigation covering a wide variety of industries and has also provided expert testimony. Mr. Haut’s consulting engagements have involved issues including securities fraud (both civil and criminal actions), class certification, bankruptcy, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, theft of trade secrets and unfair competition, materiality, causation, damages, and valuation. He has co-authored a chapter on securities fraud damages (with Brad Cornell and John Hirshleifer) in Developments in Litigation Economics, published by Elsevier.
Prior to joining Compass Lexecon, Mr. Haut was a Principal at Charles River Associates.
