Miguel Nakhle is a Vice President at Compass Lexecon, based in Houston. He has over ten years of experience performing economic and financial analysis in sectors including oil & gas, power generation, mobile telecommunications, utilities, railways, hospitality and mining, with emphasis in developing countries. Mr. Nakhle has also testified on damages issues. He has been featured among the most highly regarded arbitration expert witnesses by Who’s Who Legal.
Mr. Nakhle has managed treaty and commercial arbitration engagements under ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC, LCIA, and others venues, as well as US litigation proceedings. Mr. Nakhle has prepared complex financial models to estimate damages quantum, assisted in drafting expert reports, and provided support to experts in more than 30 international arbitration cases involving companies with investments in Algeria, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Hungary, Mexico, Peru, Philippines, Senegal, Spain, Ukraine, United States and Venezuela. Mr. Nakhle has been a guest speaker on damages assessment matters.
Mr. Nakhle was previously an Economist with LECG, LLC. Mr. Nakhle has also worked as a Manager at CRISIL, a Standard & Poor’s company, leading a team of analysts working on valuation models and equity research reports for major investment banks.
Mr. Nakhle is an MBA candidate at the Jones Graduate School of Business, Rice University. He holds a Master degree in Finance from Torcuato di Tella University in Argentina, and a Bachelor degree in Economics from the same University.
