Our experts combine rigorous economic analyses with deep understanding of Asia Pacific business norms and historical context that are crucial to help clients navigate challenging economic issues. Compass Lexecon’s Hong Kong and Beijing offices serve as the hub for Compass Lexecon’s work throughout the Asia Pacific region, in close connection with our offices in the Americas and in Europe. Our presence in almost all major jurisdictions allows us to provide coherent global strategies while recognizing the differences in diversified economies.

At Compass Lexecon, we believe that critical economic issues – whether in connection with litigation, regulatory review, strategic planning or other corporate activities – are best understood when subjected to a sound, rigorous, and situation-specific empirical analysis. Our firm is known for developing a thorough understanding of the issues that confront our clients, assessing those issues in the context of the pertinent economic theory, and then buttressing our analysis with persuasive empirical evidence. Among our most valuable assets is our ability to present complex concepts and data in an understandable manner where we tailor our analyses and arguments to incorporate local specific and industry specific elements. Our successes in the courtroom and before regulatory agencies over the years have repeatedly validated our approach.

Compass Lexecon world-wide currently has a professional staff of more than 400 individuals located across 17 offices, including 137 highly skilled Ph.D. economists and econometricians and more than 165 other individuals with advanced degrees. In each of the past ten years, Compass Lexecon has been ranked as one of the leading antitrust economics firms in the world by the Global Competition Review. Our practices are led by some of the most recognized and respected economic thinkers in the world, many held leading positions at government agencies including six former chief economists of the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division, and in Asia Pacific including a former chief economist of the Hong Kong Competition Commission and principal economist of the Australian ACCC. We maintain relationships with numerous high-profile academic affiliates around the world, including Nobel Prize winners.
